Chase Has been trying to collect fees and interest on monies I don't owe and should net be paying.

I took a second on my house 3 yrs ago. At the time my payment was a fixed $459.00. In December 2005 I noticed that they wanted me to start paying an increased ammount of $665.00. I called and found out that without my knowledge or approval they started aHazard Insurance policy on my loan. I contacted them and they stated that I just needed to fax them a copy of my policy and they would refund the ammount to my account. This took two tries (faxes) and two heated phone calls. Since then I'e received two phone calls demanding payment and three letters covering the same.

All the phone conversations end up being with low level phone operators, the one time I was transfered to a supervisor. He stated he would have to transfer me to anothe department and hung up in the process.

Any help or advise would be appreciated.

That's awesome how much you love Chase! In fact, how many problems could you possibly have with Chase taking your money every month through telephone, internet, etc? Also, they don't want to foreclose a house and lose money, of course they will give you a three month no pay opportunity! They will still get their money from the balance and the interest that accrued during those 3 months. Here's your cookie!

Nicole's comments would be considered good if they weren't so shallow. 1) The loan package made at the time the loan was given included my insurance information. The policy was in force for over 3 years already. It was being paid by escrow account and therefore had little chance of expiring. 2) These letters are claimed to have been sent (Proof? Certified Receipts?). And after they problem was cleared with no monies due, they or their "colectors" left the black mark on my credit report.

It is my sincere hope that every person reads this and thinks twice about this company.

My mortgage has been with Chase for 3 years. I have paid by phone, I have mailed in payments and I now make payments online through their website. I have never had a problem with incorrect posting, delayed posting, etc. In fact, every month their balance coincides exactly with an amortization table I printout out for the life of my loan. They reflect my balance exactly how it should be. They post the correct amounts to interest and principal balance each month.

In fact, a few years ago when the hurricane hit, they gave my brother 3 additional months to pay his mortgage payment that was due during the hurricane with no hit to his credit report.

I hope they never sell my loan.

Chase home finance does not believe in good customer service.The proper solution I suggest to many people is to avoid Chase Home finance at all costs.If you were to ever have difficulties with chase they will not properly assist you and will hit your with endless fees never disclosing their origin.They have a lot of lawyers working for them and courts that just follow their lead blindly.All you have to do is do a search in ripoff report and you will find endless stories of people having trouble.I am a victim and hope to spread the word to as many people as i can. Chase employees who write here can say what they wish but it is chase that is throwing people out of their homes because of their mysterious accounting practices....

In response to the report, i know for a fact that CHF does not just place insurance on a loan with out letting you know. Three letters are sent, 90, 60, and 30 day notices are sent, and two payments are posted to the account. So a total of 5 months go by before you have to start paying for insurance.

Also, remember that it is a loan, and the lender has the right to protect the investment, and if proof is not shown that there is coverage. It is in the contract the customers sign saying that the lender reserves the right to force place coverage if needed. Also what amount is shown on the statment that a customer recieves,has to be paid until futher notice. Otherwise late fees and neg. credit is a result of what is not paid.

I talk to many many people everyday with the same insurance problem. It works out in the end. And also with so many call we recieve, some calls are dropped.
