Complaint Review: Chase - JP Morgan Chase Bank N.A.

In the early nineties I actually worked for chase and as an employee received my first credit card . Over the years I had balances that  I had paid off and then of course the slow climb up from using it for auto emergencies and what not. Now that the economy is bad I found myself not able to secure a Home equity loan to pay my recent balance off and since I was out of work for 6 months I was forced to live on the credit card to help pay my mortgage and buy food for my family. I had those convenience checks they send every month with a promotional offer of low interest rates . So when I had to use the card I would use the lower interest promotional offer. Now that i'm back to work and trying to dig myself out of my financial tomb I found out that chase is applying enormous almost obscene monthly fee's that along with my balance max my card out on a monthly basis. Last month I took my tax return money and applied $700 of it to  my $14000  balance which is over the limit by $15 or so . I had to use the card after to buy two tires for my vehicle but that was only $250. The card became maxed out and even with the fees that are applied from chase it doesn't add up to being maxed out. I just called chase customer service and a very robotic young male from india tried to give me double talk telling me it's because my apr is now %13 and it used to be %10 thats a lot of bull because it's been at the percentage for quite a while and I never had monthly fee's in excess of $113 .  My monthly payment is now $285 and along with my other bills all I can afford is to pay that minimum but sadly the card keeps getting maxed even when I dont use it since they are killing me with fee's each month. This has got to stop. I'd be better of claiming chapter 7 and not paying them anything.
