Years ago I did an assumption with GMAC/Dilbeck. It took one letter and was done in less than 30 days. With Chase Loan Assumptions Dept. I have been bumped and bounced around from Ohio down to Florence, SC trying to get an assumption( a name removed from the loan) into my name only, and not because of a divorce or settlement. A simple clean name removal.

I started this process in April of 2009. This was a full doc disclosure which i gladly submitted all original documentation. It is now the end of December 2009 and I finally received a denial based on "too many inquires in the last 12 months," and several other ridiculous factors. My credit score is 809 and i make a decent living as a teacher for Los Angeles School District(even with hours cut, because of Los Angeles District fiscal stupidity, but that's for another report.)

Chase has been stringing me along all this time with lame excuses and 'file passing' down the chain trying to wear me down. Well, they have only succeeded in making me more determined and 'pissed off.' Do NOT choose Chase for any of your banking needs. Their handling of my assumption is yet just another example of Chases' professional incompetence, excessive greed, and total absence of customer relations in resolving this simple matter.
