It was estimated by the local telephone company that during the month of September at least 15 customers were billed for bogus services not requested or ever received. The town only has approx 2500 residents...figure the percentages and then multiply that by all the communities across the United States being hit by these ripoff artists.

I did reach Barry Rynearson at the number listed...of course he did not want to answer questions. However, he did admit that they were not registered in the state of New Hampshire with the Utilities Commission.

Their game is to play the odds. For those that complain they promise to stop charges and refund. For those who don't look at their bills or won't notice a $15 charge, they get to keep or at least use the money for a period of time. I'll bet the percentage of customers fitting the latter profile is high and therefore they are making big money.

They need to be prosecuted. The first step is to contact your State Utilities Commission and demand in writing that something be done. Phone calls are too easy to bury or forget.
