Two days ago I went online to procure airline tickets for a roundtrip I am planning in February.  After entering my itenerary, Cheapoair.com offered a flight plan and rate that worked, I provided my credit card info, REVIEWED THE COST AND ITINERARY and authorized the charge for $580.  Immediatley Cheapoair began "searching" , then confirmed the reservation-BUT -the charge was: $1754.85!!!!!! I did NOT SEE this new cost --I DID NOT authorize it!!! I immediately tried to get through their LABRYNTH customer "service" (misnomer!!!!) , finally getting a call center person who I could barely understand. The individual stated the cost had been represented to me , I said that is a LIE --he agree to cancel the booking BUT my money would not be returned for 7-14 days.

I continued to try and get Cheapoair to release the funds-after calling repeatedly all day, an individual agreed to contact my bank with a required document doing so.  But to date this has not happened.

I have now had $1754.85 taken out of my account ILLEGALLY and cannot have access to it for at least 7 to 14 days!!!!

This transaction is a blatant and flagrant abuse of trade and this company should not be allowed to represent its services this way!!! I am sure I am not the only consumer that has  had their funds illegally taken with a mis representation like this!

i believe Cheapoair is systematically BAITING AND SWITCHING ticket prices in order to both undercut the competition unfairly and RIPOFF the consumer!!!!

Ted, very sorry for the inconvenience. If the airfare has gone up in price, you are provided a pop-up screen that tells you that the fare you are searching for has gone up. The new price is shown to you and ask if you accept it or decline. By continuing, you did Authorize this charge, and gave your credit card. Once you hit the submit button that is your authorization to charge your card, so this is not "illegal". Once your card is charged, yes it can take upto 7-14 days for your bank to release the funds, and it is upto them to do so, once we call and request it. I will be glad to have our billing department contact the bank once again, however, we need your booking number emailed to our priority customer service team at sm@cheapoair.com

Regards,
