I purchased 2 round trip air tickets from Cheaptickets last November, 2004. Sometime in April I recieved an itinery change in our flights. I called and cancelled the flights, and was told that I would receive a full refund.

I have called customer service over 20 times since June (2005), and have been repeatedly lied to about my refund($670.00). I had a hard time understanding the customer service reps, and was finally told they were in the Phillipines.

I finally asked for their supervisors, and/or the Refund Dept., and was always left on hold for upwards to an hour. Once they realized that I was looking for a refund, they would put me on hold. Some reps told me that they would call me back, and was told the next time I called that they are not allowed to call customers.

My last call was in Oct., and I was told that I needed to wait "2 to 3 billing cycles". What does that mean? She informed me 60 to 90 more days. I am outraged at this company. Waht can we do to stop these criminals? I have the owners name and phone number and wonder if I should call him? Please advise..

Finally a refund!!!!

After I got the rebuttal letter from Cheaptickets, I immediately contacted the customer service number given to me. I spoke with Laura,(from the United States, no less) and she told me she would look into it, and get back to me. She did in fact call the very next day, and after a few calls, we came to an agreement. Cheaptickets did in fact owe me a refund, and within one week, they credited my credit card for the full amount. I feel a great indebtedness to Ripoff Reports for giving me a venue in which to file a complaint, and was very surprised how quickly cheaptickets handled this matter. Thank you Ripoff Reports.
