Complaint Review: Cheaptrips

The old saying is "If it quacks like a duck, it must be a duck" or "if it looks to good to be true, it probably is". I as other persons, fell victom to this company. On the surface, even the most intellegent would fall for this scam. The scam claimed they could offer six free flights a day, better prices, than other airlines, which is all untrue!

Finally the price, Once my credit card was billed and recieved my statement, to my surprise, they had billed me more than what they claimed on their web-site advertizment. Furthermore, they claimed this would guarentee a life-time membership, which would include any guest I would like to add to my membership. Phone calls went unanswered, as well as being placed on hold for upwards of 1 hour. The promise of cheaper airfair simply put, a complete lie!

I am fortunate to be connected with a great credit card company, however, I had to immediatly surrender my credit card, in case this company attempted to continue billing my card, which disallowed me the luxtury of the use of my card, I further had to obtain a new pin, for my credit card and then wait to recieve the new credit card. My credit card company, has a really awsome professional staff, as they were able to inform me, not only would this charge be placed in disput, without me having to pay for it, but also they do their own inside investigation, should they find that the company is a fraudulent one, as reported, they take their own appropreate action against the company.

Lastly, Should you fall pray to this scam, report the company to the BBB, Chamber of comm., and the Attorney General of Colorado, Then report it to your credit card company, should your credit card company refuse to allow a refund of said charge, I would suggest you immediatly change your credit card company. Should enough of us report these types out in our world, we may be able to at least slow them down if not shut them down! Hopefully, I too have shed light on this horrible fraudulant company.
