Check game solutions, INC is a collection agency who has been sending me threatening letters. Last year around Thanksgiving, this guy knocked on my door stating that he was a college student and was in competion with other students to sell magazines to win a trip.

I asked the gentleman ,"did he know that there is a sign before entering my apartment complex of know soliciting? " The guy stated that he go permission from our leasing office. With that said, I wrote a check for 40.00 to purchase some magazines. The guy talked extremely fast in explaining what company was helping them, which he identified as SunShine Subscriber.

After the guy left something did not feel right so I went to my leasing office to see if they knew about college students soliciting. They stated no, and I then called my bank and placed a Stop on my check.

I never received any magazines, which I did not want and now this collection agency, Check Game Solution is sending threatening letters. First all, they are starting there letters out with Florida Statutes and they are not explaining what the statutes are. Then, they are accusing me of deliberately attempting to use a worthless check to obtain goods fraudently-They are basically calling me a theif, but what they do not know I am a current Criminal Justice graduate and I know A lot of things.

They are trying to scare you into sending money with these statutes that they quote-half quote in there letters. They only thing that they have is, "Pursuant to Florida Statues 832.07 (a) 1991," then jumps into a accused statement. I am from Tennessee what does that statute mean, I don't know, but when I took legal research and wrote memo's we have to quote the whole statute, anyways, I then placed a call to this company telling them that I do not appriciate this threatening letter and for them to return my call promptly.

This company is a rip-off because how and why do I owe them money and I stopped payment on my check because I did not want there product.

No product, no payment. I feel that they can not make me purchase something that I do not won't and these threatening letters is not helping.

there is no Florida state statute 832.05(a)"1991"

Florida ststute 832 covers violations Involving checks & drafts.

832.041- stopping payment with intent to defraud.

832.05(7) stop payments, these two will explain, what if anything needs or should be done.

do you still have the stop payment info from your bank? in not try to get a copy for it.

If the payment was stopped before your received and you contacted the company, then there is no fraud, no passing of a bad check and no crime.
read the stop payment section within the statute and I'm sure you followed the actions listed there.

as a collection agncy, they must follow the laws set down within FDCPA demand validation, you want to see the check and the orderform you filled out and not to call you on the phone, at home or work, everything must be by U.S. Mail. send this letter(RRR) you want to see both side of the check, when the bank stamps this it will not say ISF. will have marked it PAYMENT STOPPED

they will lie and tell you, you can't see the checks. They must give a readable copy when requested.
