This Company Is Saying I wrote a bad Check 7 years ago, To AT&T Broadband and are threating with heavy fines, arrest and imprisonment If I don't pay It. I never had At&T Broadband!!!! They call on the phone all hours of day and night with these threats.plus send letters, They won't send me any proof or the bad check. This company is a fraud from what I've been reading about them.I've been to the Police about them but yet to here anything from them about it.

Sorry I just have to say this...AT&T Broadband came out in 1999...here is the source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AT%26T_Broadband.

I know it has nothing to do with this issue but I just had to write that. Thanks!

ask them if the NY Attorney General has found them, yet. It's a big scam and the NY BBB has it plastered that it is a scam. Google New York Check Processing Bureau Enforcement Division and scam and you will see that this is a scam. File a complaint with the both Attorney Generals of Georgia and New York. Hopefully, the NY AG will shut these bogus losers down.

Broadband did not exist

They must be scam artists. Broadband did not exist 7 years ago. Send them a "validation letter" where you request that they validate your debt. It sounds like they are "fishing" to get your bank information. When they call you again, get their mailing address and send them the letter "Certified & Return Receipt" asking for the evidence of the bad check.
Good luck.
