On August 19, 2007 at approximatly 1:50 pm I went with my wife and 3yr old daugther to the Checkers in Doral. There were three cars in the right hand lane and no cars in the left lane. I drove up to the left lane. There was no sign posted indicating that the left lane was closed.

After several minutes of waiting, I drove up to to window, where a young man rudely advised me that the left side was closed. My wife, who was in the passenger side, politely (our three year old daughter in the back seat) advised him that they should post something and asked that since she was in line anyway, whether they could take the order from the window. Again, in a rude tone, the teenager who attended said that we had to drive around and go to the right hand lane.

So we drove around to the right hand lane. Now ther were two more cars in front of us. The car directly in front of us was a red american car. I obviously placed a large order and it took several minutes to serve him (Honestly, no less than 5 minutes from time he placed order to time he received food.) Because of the extensive delay, we had turn off our car a so as not to waste gas. When we drove up to the window, the Mananger, a large white male, advise me that he had cancelled my order and closed the window. I laughed, literally thinking he was joking. But then I noticed that the three drinks we had ordered were in the window, and instead of handing them to us, he made a point to show us his "power" and through them away.

I really could not fathom why in the world he would do that. I assume that it was that he was upset that we had gone to the left lane and asked to be served.

I waited so that I could find out why in the world he was refusing to serve us. He would not open the window and deliberately ignored us. He sent the teenage worker to serve the two cars that were behind us in line. I asked the teenage worker to come to my car so that I could find out what the problem was. He looked at me appologetically, but motioned that his mananger would not let him.

While the mananger was on his little power trip, "the I'll show you" attitude, suddenly the left lane miraculasly fixed itself, and they started serving cars from the left lane.

My wife got out of the car, for no other reason than to ask him his name so that we could complain against him. (The coward had his name badge turned over so that we could not see it.) he became aggressive and verbally abusive towards my wife. I called the City of Doral Police, but after several more minutes, the police did not respond. We Left. We went to the Burger King down the street. Treated well, ate well. No attitude from the employees. No wonder Checkers is doing so poorly.

I Called Corporate offices and filed a complaint.

To the general public, Avoid Checkers.
