Checkrite Recovery Services ripoff refused to send me copies of the checks they are trying to collect on Niles Illinois
I requested them to furnish me with copies of the checks. They in turn sent my request to there lawyers for forgery. I only requested copies which is my right as these checks are almost seven years old and I don't know if I wrote them or not.
During that time my spouse had just passed away and I ended up in VA hospital mental health ward, As Im 100% service connected disabled veteran with mental health issues. I want copies to verify this Debt.

Nice to see someone from my old stompin grounds here.
It is your right, under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) to make them verify the debt. If they can not veify the debt - they are supposed to go away. If they don't verify the debt within 20 days and they still contact you trying to collect - the law allows for statutory damages of $1000.
If you need to, check out Oregon Legal Services, which I think has an office in Roseburg and you would qualify for their services, which are free.
