Cheltenham Square Mall Cheltenham Mall This So-Called "Mall" is a Dump Wyncote, Pennsylvania
Like many others, I visited Cheltenham Square Mall one day for a change from my "urban" life. I do not own a vehicle for one thing. For this reason, I rode SEPTA many miles to this mall. From the map, this appears to be a solid suburban mall. I never even really knew where Wyncote or Cheltenham were until this point. The "mall" had not a single decent department store such as Macy's, Sears, JCPenney, Boscov's, not even Kohl's. All it has is Target (brand new), a Home Depot (this is a mall!), a ShopRite supermarket, and an empty Value City (knock-off Target), Burlington Coat Factory (the ultimate "ghetto" store), and a Conway (what the #$%^ is a Conway?!). Now seeing on the map that this mall has a Home Depot, I thought it would be a nicer than average mall. I will give this mall credit for having some nice restaurants on the perimeter. Basically much of this mall is empty except for the wig shops, cheap clothing stores, and even cheap cigarette kiosks! The neighborhood is very dangerous too, despite being near two very suburban highways. I heard someone was shot watching a movie at the mall cinema which is now closed.

Emma, I suggest you do a Google search on Dixie Square Mall. I suspect these two malls were developed by the same company!

Perhaps using the handy google tool, you could have found out which stores were in the mall, even what type of store Conway was. Maybe asking other probing questions on google or other search engines about the neighborhood or crime could have saved you the trip also.
Sorry, don't see a rip-off here.
