Complaint Review: Cherry Auto

Cherry Auto I bought an engine assembly. The engine was no good. They refuse to make it good. I also bought and extended warranty. They won't answer my calls or emails. Toledo, Ohio

On October 14th of 2008 I bought an engine assembly for a 2002 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition. When the mechanic put the engine in the car and fired it off there was water in the oil and he did a compression check and the engine would only hold 6 lbs of pressure. I had also bought an extended warranty.

When I contacted them they told me they would contact the vendor who shipped the engine and get back with me. They never got back with me. I kept calling until I finally got through and they finally agreed to find me another motor. The first one had only 35,000 miles on it. They said they had one with 65000 miles on it. I told them I would accept that one with a price adjustment. They sent a truck for the other motor just before Christmas.

As of today I have not heard another word from them and they will not answer the phone or my emails. I tried to go to the website and the original website is no longer there. So now they have my money and the first motor back and I have no replacement and can get no one on the phone.

I just learned that the owners of Cherry Auto has filed a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy.
