Hired Lynda Lastinger, Cherry Hill Estate Sales, to conduct sale at my mother's home.  First sale was 9/10-12/15, second sale 9/24-26/15.  According to Lynda,  total  intake for both sales was $15,500.  I was to have received a check within two weeks. Check for first sale was due 9/25/15. No check received.  Check for second sale was due 10/8/15.  As of 10/26/15, have not received check(s).  There are four, almost identical complaints as mine, filed with BBB, the latest filed in 9/15.

Our estate sale run by Cherry Hill Estate Sales was as bad if not worse. Out of reported proceeds of $9,500 Lynda finally paid us just under $800 after more than six months. Yes that is less than ten percent of the take. After Lynda's skewed accounting and expense padding we were lucky to get that. The keys to the shop are still missing- she never returned them.
According to Lynda the check and keys were 'lost in the mail'...and if you believe that you'll also believe she will give you accurate records of what items sold for, some kind of documentation for donations to charity and to keep the promises of the contract. None of this has happened. No accounting, no proof of expenses, random charges that go unexplained.

For the almost FIVE THOUSAND dollars they charged us to 'clean up' which did not include vaccuming or disposing of two large pieces of furniture we certainly got shoddy service. All those nice promises mean nothing to these people. Their "so sue me" attitude has cost numerous people countless hours of grief and untold loss. This doesn't even begin to address the giveaway prices they charge for the things of yours they sell.

If you read the rebuttal on another one of their complaints you will see what kinds of 'professionals' you're dealing with. So much for professionalism. Trust me, there are people out there who can do an estate sale in an honest manner with integrity, so pass on this company to save yourself grief. How can they possibly still be in business?
