How I wish I would have found this site before July of this year. I am a single parent and recently quit my job to start an ecommerce business. I interviewed prospective web developers for a month and finally came to an agreement with Cherryone Web.

They required a 60% deposit which I tried to pay with my debit card. They insisted on a check and even paid to fed ex the check overnight. Once my money cleared, they said what we had agreed upon and signed contracts to would cost more. I told them I would not pay more and insisted on a refund. Suddenly, communication changed. In the beginning, they were super professional and friendly and wonderful with the follow up. Once I demanded the refund, they stopped answering my emails. I told them I would not discuss the matter over the phone because it couldn't be documented.

I went to my bank and was told if I had paid with my debit card like I had wanted, then they could reverse the charges. Since I wrote a check, nothing could be done. The bank suggested I contact the attorney general of Illinois. I tried to retain an attorney but was told my case wasn't big enough and I would need to produce a $2000 retainer up front with no assurances my case wouldn't cost more.

Way to steal from a widow and orphan Cherryone Web. Anyone want to file a class action!?

Hi!

I have had a very hard time with this company!  It seems that I will be defrauded as well.  I will share my story very soon.  I will take my case to court, if need be.  Would you be willing to sign an affidavit with your story to be used in court?

Thank you.
