Chevron and Texaco business services apparantly have changed their practices with shorter time limits from the time of their closing dates on their statement dates until the actual bill is mailed out, leaving the consumer scrambling to get their check in the mail in time to make the deadline date before the bill is due.  I feel it's forcing their consumers to use electronic payments or automatic transfers instead of the snail mail check writing.  I feel this is an unjustice to those who formally do not trust electronic payment practices. To address this problem with the company is impossible as everyone in their offices seem to be robotic.  At this point I feel this company is living off the late fee's incurred by sending out statements weeks after closing dates, which I have proof of postal stamped dates, then by the time anyone would actually receive these statements and send them back to be posted, there is no way humanly possible with our mail service to make a payment on time.  I arranged for them to email me the statement so we could print it off and mail it in advance.  This worked for a while but after this new year came around there seems to be another problem with even them emailing us an email in a timely manner.  Each month now we receive calls from their collectors which seem to be the day after the due dates.  Talk about a energic company when it comes to collecting, yet it seems the posting payment department are slow, not to mention their mail room.  So, CONSUMERS BEWARE, if you don't do online banking and bill paying..you will be paying a late fee every month with this card.  Funny, we have never  had a late payment with our Shell gas card..and no, we do not work for Shell.  We are just a rural ranching community with little or no secure internet services trying to do business with a company that wants to rip consumers off with late fees and won't work with you even when you call them about their constricted time limit.  Sorry Chevron, but after 10 years of using your card, something has gone wrong with your company and I don't want to support your company anymore.
