Complaint Review: CHEVRON

Chevron Station | Ripoff Report Complaints:

Do not use your debit/credit card at Chevron Gas station!! They put a $100 hold on my card!!!  Can't get help getting it removed, my credit card company told me it could take up to 2 weeks to drop off.
Recently in a pinch, running way low on gas stopped by our local Terrible Herbts Chevron Station, normally I would stop at the lowest gas offered station.  Anyways, wanting to get as little gas as possible to make it to another gas station I put $10 in the tank using my credit card.  Later that day I again used my credit card at another "cheaper" gas station.  Later that evening, after getting my card declined at the grocery store I checked my credit card charges.  I was suprised to see a $100 pending on my card not from the other gas station but from Chevron.  I immediately called my credit card company and they explained that I had to call Chevron to get the hold removed, otherwise the charges may drop 7 days to 2 weeks later.   I called that gas station for help and they referred me to a Terribe Herbts employment center, of course there was no answer.  I am a paycheck to paycheck person...I don't want this to happen to anyone else who needs every dollar of their paycheck.  Don't use your card to get gas at Chevron.
