I too fell victim to their hidden fees, excessive late fees, etc. I have had the card for quite some time and during the first few months I noticed a $10.00 fee every month. Called and they said it is statement fee. Go online to our web pay and set up account and there will be no fees they said. Pain in the a*s but ok

Finally figured out how to navigate a ridiculous and very user UNFRIENDLY web payment site and made my payments every month. No big deal until I find out on my newest statement some unusual charges. Actually mind blowing charges:
First I see a fee labeled "transaction fee" = $4.00 for this pleasure. 
Then I see the next charge "late fee" = $75.00. WHAT!!!!!

I pull my last statement made online and it was one day prior to due date. OK now I am feeling good. I call in and wait for my turn. Ask the rep to pull last month's statement and verify date payment was made. Yes it was made on the day before but we are so far removed from the real world that we demand a 2 day processing time for online payments!  This being said my payment was late by one day. 

I told the rep to cancel the account. I will pay in full but cancel the account. Oh, he says, "I can help with half the late fee". Oh no, I say it's all or nothing. Cancel the account! Done with these guys. My advice would be to take your business somewhere else as this has been nothing but aggravating from the misc fees they come up with to the inept design of the web site to poor complaint resolution. BYE BYE Universal. Find another sucker
