Chiappa Firearms Armi Sport Chiappa sells poor quality non-working products without customer service morals! Internet
Chiappa Firearms sell their products through secondary dealers, in this case Buds Online. For firearms it is traditional to have service and warranteed product repairs to be supplied by the manufacturer.
When buying a firearm via the internet it must ship to an FLL to register it before you take possesion. You can only inspect the product as much as you can "visually" at this point. To remove the product from the FLL to take home you have been considered a final "acceptance" of the product.
When testing this product, a firearm at a local range it apparently did not work and had a variety of deffects. The range officer would not even allow me to attempt to try to get it to fire on the range because he deemed it unsafe.
The secondary re-sellar gave me the information on how to contact Chiappa to return it for service. I have tried to contact Chiappa through their office line, help line, their on-line Return Authorization process (e-Mail) and their Facebook account to no avail. No call backs. Nothing.
I have since then begun to find reviews about how badly this company has been running and found many people with the same situation as myself. It appears I have no recourse here, however, they appear to continue to advertise and sell product to people that have no ability to identify if their product claims are what they promote.
The parent company is out of Italy, so I suspect that this is their joke on Americans. I'll only buy locally made American products after this and would recommend the same to anyone even considering Chiappa Firearms. Bad product only surpassed by their bad customer service!
