The man who posted the report about Chief Transport might be telling the truth and I had a bad phone conversation with a manager..I said that I was not going to drive a Volvo if I come aboard and I told the recruiter that I want to get testimonials from a few drivers who work for Chief Transport.. Her silly ** got mad and told the bigtime manager everything that we talked about. The company have the small Volvo trucks and if you want to bring a rider aboard you both will not be happy. You will be cramped up like **** in the Volvo 670..Truck is not for 2 people and not for a man 5-10 or taller..I have gotten a bad report from a driver when I was at the office last year..The driver wasn't talking real good about Chief Transport.

Company just started in 2014..This is a fly-by-night carrier..New and confused in the business. Do not think that applicants or drivers are telling lies about this company..

The company will be desperate to hire drivers..They got postings on Craigslist.com..I cannot work for this company and I would be stupid to to that way and fill out an application.

You might want to apply for a new employer..

I worked for them for over a year until my health recently declined.. As a driver for 40 years, they are a Long way from the worst Ive seen. I never had any major problems with them and none that we couldnt work out. True, they are a fairly new company (since 2013) which means they are still learning the ropes, as we all had to do. Noone is Born to be in the trucking business, its a very hard and very demanding business to be in. It takes a Lot of Practice, and even then, you never stop learning-even after 40 years. Trucking is like spouses- sometimes you find the right choice and sometimes you dont. That doesnt mean either is bad, it just means that you are not compatible and you just have to accept that realization and move forward with your life. In my experience with the company, I have enjoyed working with them and made a lot of good friends during my tenure with the company and they will always be good friends for the rest of my life as far as Im concerned.
