Complaint Review: Chieftain Logistics

I received a letter in the mail from Chieftain Logistics saying I had been randomly selected to win a total of $8955. There was a check enclosed for $2955.59 which looked real and was drawn on Comerica Bank in Detroit, Mi.

It said to call and they would give me a code for the remainder of the winnings. I called Mr. Daddy numerous times in Dec, but would only get a message saying his voicemail was full. I finally contacted him on Jan. 9, and he told me that I forfeited my winnings since I did not contact him before Dec. 31, 2008. The letter said I had been entered by using my credit card at local retailers.

Their website is closed down, and Chieftain logistics does not seem to be a valid company any longer. All their numbers listed have been disconnected.
