Complaint Review: Chimera Developers Inc.

Marcus, the "CEO", was hired by my church pastor (with a budget that I personally funded), to paint 2 apartments in my rental property. The paint job was very shoddy--paint overspray gotten on my window frames, doors, outlets, etc. There were also quite a few areas where the surface was not properly prepared--just painted. This was pointed out by a high-end, level 5 painter, who has many years of experience working directly for Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams, etc.

When I pointed all of this out, Marcus only agreed to clean the windows (probably because my pastor also got after him), but not to do anything about the uneven spray lines or any of the many areas which were never compounded. When I asked why, he responded that he was not hired to compound, but only to paint. In addition, this guy recommended "painting over the window frames" with their color in order to cover up the wall paint that he got on them. I had to bring in the other level 5 painter, whom I had to pay money to as well, to fix the mess so that it looked clean and professional. and what did Marcus charge for this shoddy hit and run job? $4,500 PER APARTMENT.
