Choice Fitness Repair Kevin Oye Scam artist took my money and never came back to finish job. Excuse - sick multiple apps missed Etobicoke Ontario
I needed my treadmill repaired so chose Choice Fitness Repair randomly from internet. Called Kevin Oye in Aug and he came promptly to the appt. He told me that I should get a new motor and belt and gave me the email and part numbers to order, which I did. I paid him $80 for that visit. He was supposed to come back to install but instead said he was sick with allergies and sent someone else. This new person installed the parts but then said that another belt burst and he would buy it and return to install it. This never happened despite several emails. I had to pay that person $50. I then emailed Kevin Oye who gave me the part number to order, which I dad. He was supposed to come to install it but again was sick so missed the appt. He made another appt which he again missed, again due to illness. I then realized that he was scamming me and told him so.
they left my machine in a mess with parts scattered all over. This whole fiasco lasted more than two months. I finally had to call another company, who came and fixed my machine tonight.

I have aggreed to write this rebuttal for Kevin in defense of this complaint.
Kevin and Choice Fitness Repair have diagnosed, repaired, installed, delivered and maintained our home GYM for the past 5 years.
I found him to be honest and reliable.
I am 100% sure that there must've been a good reason for the missed appointments after his original trip.
I use to be in business on my own (before expansion) and I know for a fact that things happen. Where it be medical, family, personal or automotive. This is not a perfect world.
I also very sure he is not out to scam anyone. that is for sure!!! He has done work for us at no cost and does not take any money until the job is done.
He told me about the situation above and as far as I am concerned the customer should not have given this contractor (that Kevin was trusting) any $$ at all.
Now I know that Kevin should not have trusted this dolt, and he is 100% sorry for doing so, but he was trying to give this guy some work, since he mentioned he was down and out and wanted to get this done for the customer.
Turns out this guy messed up around 10 jobs Kevin trusted him with, and was making the attempt to make Kevin and his company look bad for his own business venture....and guess what...it worked.
So anyone reading this.....Kevin and Choice are top notch. Dont let the above report ruin his reputation.
I know what Kevin does, and how well we are treated when we need him.
