Complaint Review: Choice Home Warranty

 Their ad said never pay for home repairs again.

Our airconditioner went out and they sent someone who said it needed to be reset and he reset it.  We had to go out so he left and we came home and it was hotter than ever.

We called back and theysent someone 2 days later that said  someone from Carrier needed to come out because they could not fix it.

We called choice and they never called back so we contacted 3 carrier companies and called choice back  and she said she would find someone.

They gave us Ken Barrett who said they never pay those kind of claims and did not want to work for them as they short him on every job.  We called back and choice said they gave the work order to Ken who didn't have it nor wanted to work for them.

So days passed in hot Florida and they sent us a claim form over the internet to get anyone to come out.  We had our regular ac company come out and they said the compressor was shot from age and called choice, was kept on hold for 30 mins and told them it was old and choice wrote they said it was something shorted to the ground and would not cover it. 

This went on and on and we ended up paying $5800 for a new ac rather than $1800 for a compressor choice was supposed to put in and then they refused to pay the $66 service fee they sent the claim for.

There are nothing but complaints on the internet about them.  They will pay small claims but any big ones, no way.  I reported them to NJ attorney general, better business bureau and florida division of consumer services. 

They should be banned from doing business in Florida they are bad.
