This company is a rip-off. We have a rental and it is approximately 18 yrs old. We have this property in a rent to buy contract and so we purchased a home warranty with this bogus company Choice Home Warranty who from what I've discovered cover nothing. DO NOT WASTE YOU MONEY on this company if you can even call it a company, it's really a scam! We did this for the peace of mind knowing the home was the age it is and the possibility something could transpire and we would be prepared for it.
In reality we were no better off than if we didn't have coverage. We had a short in a part of the a/c unit that SURPRISE SURPRISE is not covered in this policy. This scam company has operators available for you anytime to sign you up for monies to be withdrawn from your account to theirs but are quick to dismiss any monies they would need to pay out with a well it not covered that's a maintenance issue statement. When we called into the customer service and talked with Liz who is as worthless as the company is she is programmed to get you off the phone and to throw the responsibility off of them and onto you with mere excuses when in reality they don't want to have to pay for anything just accept you're money.
In frustration we told her we wanted to go ahead and cancel at the end of the month since they had already took our money for this month she claimed that as soon as they are informed someone wants to cancel the policy that it expires that day and cannot be changed. If you read this text and still want to proceed with Choice Home Warranty shame on you you've been warned. Don't be like us and find out after the fact.
