6Sep2024 our a/c went out. Internal temp 93°F. Repair visit set for 9 days away. Canceled appt. Spoke to Kendra who wished me a blessed day (twice), but the next appt was still set at 4 days out.

When repairman came he said it was normal wear and tear / had to replace motor. Told us no one wants to take Choice work orders because they often don't get paid and most of the requests are denied. 20 phone calls to Choice and repair vendors. Call center was very hard to understand and of no help.

10Sep denied due to 'lack of maintenance'. Since 2016 my husband has annually cleaned coils; replaces filters monthly; replaced gas valve, gas line, circuit board, capacitors, fan motor on condenser, blower motor on furnace, and thermostat. Choice did not ask us about previous maintenance, but we could appeal the decision.

Canceled contract and husband repaired for less than $120.00. These are the worst kind of scammers who target and rip off consumers who might need expense repairs they can't afford otherwise.
