CHOICE HOTELS, QUALITY INN cancelled all our reservations for the summer saying we did it because we had a superior price Pleasantville New Jersey
In September 2003 we made reservations for every Saturday night for the summer at this quality inn. Due to the early reservation the rate was $57 a night. We showed up on 7-3-2004, no problem. We showed up on 7-10-2004, no problem. Except for stupid me telling the front desk guy what a bargain we had.
On 7-17-2004 we showed up in our bathing suits to be told my wife had cancelled the reservations for the next 5 out of 7 Saturday nights. However, Idf we wanted to pay $109 they would give us a room. I believe thats called extortion. My wife nor myself cancelled the reservations. The confirmation numbers were only known by us and the hotel. We paid the $109 plus tax. They had us by the testicles. My wife will lodge a formal complaint with Choice Hotels to get the reservations back. But, extortion is extortion. I am sure she will not succeed.
