Got a free invite for a marketing webinar in April 9, 2015. After listing to webinar and the high pressure you must sign on today only for $97 and free money guarantee (same webinar was available for next three days). Also able to cancel at any point with no penalties. After trying their funnels program for 30 days and spending about $150 in mailing material. Absolutely waste of money and 0 results. I went ahead and cancelled my subscription and was under the impression that service was discontinue, until two weeks I notice my bank card was charged the $97 again. I called chris curry listing funnels customer service to complaint and they would not reverse the charge and furthermore conveniently the cancellation request I had sent them over a month ago through their portal was not found. Now I have to jump through hoops with my bank to get the charge reverse. This was a waste of money and time. Their system is sending letters (funnels) to expired listings, absentees and list of homeowners you'll could easily find in public records. Again don't make my mistake and stay away.

Rick

No my account was not active. I'd called and cancelled. Thirty days after my cancellation you'll bill me again. I called your customer service number and they said the account was still active. I told her I had cancelled the account and you'll could see that I had not access your portal. I told her I wasted enough money and time. I had deleted all of your stuff of my computer. as far as I was concerned this account was closed. I wasted enough money and time with this useless program. I can prove with receipts of over 300 stamps, letters, envelopes and Godaddy account. I've moved on and still say your program is worthless and so do my colleges. Keep your garbage.

This is clear proof that Mr. Riviera knew his account was active, and knew that he needed to submit feedback in order to receive that billing credit.

It's unfortunate that he shose to stop using the program, and stop sending in his feedback.

That is the simple reason he was billed again!

I'll tell you from his responses that it's fairly obvious what happened:

This program takes a bit of work (mailing letters, etc) and I can see that Rick chose to stop putting the effort IN, and as a result he got nothing OUT...  and when he suddenly got a bill for his membership, he scrambled to tell us a story of missed cancel requests!

Clearly a fabrication on his part trying to get out of the bill.  He could offer no evidnce of a sent email or anything on his part.

I'm sorry that he stooped to lying, and it's too bad he wasn't willing to simply put a bit of work into his business...

but that is EXACTLY why Beta testers are required to give feedback...

because we WANT them to use it!

In the case of Rick Riviera, he chose to make up a story twisting the details, and post it here, in addition to attempting to fight the charge...

now THAT seems like a lot of work to me!!

Perhaps if he'd only put that much effort into workign and using the program while he had it...

Oh well, can't help em all.

In response to Rick, and to CLARIFY a few details he left out:

You've heard the saying that there's "more to the story", right?

Well THIS is a classice case for sure!!

Give it a read, and THEN decide for yourself...

Mr Riviera did indeed attend a free marketing webinar.

HOWEVER, it was NOT a "high-pressure" situation, as he describes,
but rather a special invitation to participate as a "Beta Tester"
of our Listing Funnels program.

The "beta" invitation was only open for this specific instance.

It was CLEARLY stated that if you weren't interested, simply don't join!

We were looking for a handful of users in different markets to use the new materials of the program, IN EXCHANGE for FREE, full access to the WHOLE program.  In order to receive the FREE access, they MUST use & submit feedback on the program.

And yes, we DID host a private encore AND send a replay out to registrants.

(Obviously, we'd selected this group, and did our best to make the opportunity available to all who had registered.)

Mr Riviera joined as a Beta Member on 4/09/2015.

He ALSO requested (and was given) 400 leads to help kick-start his mailing campaign.

With those leads is a CLEAR NOTICE that in exchange for receiving a FREE, NON-returnable list of leads, the initial 30-day moneyback guarantee is waived.

(you cannot request the leads without "checking" off that you understand those terms.)

As you can see from this picture, Rick USED that list of leads, submitted feedback, AND RECEIVED A FREE MONTH in exchange for the feedback, AS PROMISED in the Beta Tester details.

As the attached picture shows, Rick not only ASKED if his account was still active, he then SUBMITTED HIS FEEDBACK from using it.

Note the reply email from OUR team, confirming that his feedback WAS received, and his next billing date was adjusted accordingly.

Note the DATE on that email, as well...  (04/30/2015)

At this point, Rick decided to STOP using the program, and did NOT send in any further feedback.

He was billed on 6/10/2015, per the Beta Tester terms of use, clearly laid out to him.

You can SEE that was specified in the email confirming receipt of his initial feedback!

Rick then claimed that he had "requested to cancel".

He could provide NO proof of ANY kind, no sent email, nothing.  And our records do NOT show any emails or calls from him regarding a cancellation.

ALSO, as a member, he continued to receive AND OPEN weekly email reminders of our members ONLY training workshops.

ANOTHER clear sign that Rick is NOT being 100% honest in his "story" of events.

In addition to those LIVE weekly workshops, we have a full time team available to help via email, phone, and live chat.  We ALSO send new members a regular email to touch base on their progress, offer tips, and remind them WE ARE HERE TO HELP if they need it!

At ANY point in that month, Rick could have EASILY reached out to us for that help.

It is sad to see people who get excited about something that can CHANGE their business, only to lose interest when they find IT TAKES A LITTLE WORK!!

I can GIVE the best tools I have and share ALL my tactics for listings FOR FREE and some folks STILL don't get it.

Sad.

Rick Riviera is one of those folks apparently, and from what I've seen, if you don't "get it" now, he likely never will.

I do hope that "his way" works, and wish him success...

PS. In regards to Rick's feeling that "anybody" could do this...

I challenge him (and YOU) to GO to the public records,

GET the leads in the niches he mentions,
and MAIL THEM A LETTER that you wrote.

(you'll have to figure out how,
and figure out what to say on your own,
but hey, Rick says it's easy, so why not, right?)

OR, you could look for someone who has ALREADY
done the work to write, and test, and tweak...

...and ask them to share!

THAT is what I'm all about.

Sharing what I've had success with
for other agents to use.

In THEIR markets, to get more listings.

Why not check it out?
