I responded to a Bizquest.com advertisement for a Profitable and Established website GreatGrantGuide.com netting $3500+/month. Chris Seurs responded and provided the financial history from Yahoo Merchant Account reports. I did the typical due diligence to see if there were any "odd" trails of litter on the internet to indicate this may be a scam. After several back and forths, I made an offer via a written purchase agreement, which after a few edits was accepted on 4/8/09. As part of the agreement, the down payment on the business was wired to the folllowing:

After I wired the payment, Chris made an appointment with me to arrange the transfer of the web domain, site files, Yahoo Merchant Account, and the Yahoo Paid Inclusion account. He did not keep the appointment. I called his phone number repeatedly, only to get voice mail. He wrote back a couple days later providing an email that was a long string of unreadable HTML code, of which only pieces could be deciphered. I wrote him back and told him to please resend the details in a word document, which he ignored. I kept attempting to contact him and the last email I received stated his "webmaster" Steve was going arrange to get the web files transferred and that Chris would take care of transferring everything else, and that it would all be complete by 4/17/09.

After a week or so of silence I sent via registered mail a "breach of contract" letter to the address he provided in the Purchase Agreement 1449 N. Astor Chicago, IL 60601. A couple days later I received a call from the Postal Office delivery man in Chicago indicating that this address was a building under construction and that there were no people residing or conducting business from this address and indicated that he would need to return the package to me.

I proceeded to do extensive research on the internet and discovered that Mr. Chris Seurs was also doing business as Chris Sours (DOB 6/2/1966), Chris Saurs, Rod Bowen, Travis W. Zeh and had been perpetrating fraud on people for many years. Based on the reports I've been able to obtain, It is clear his real name is Chris Sours. There are several reports on www.ripoffreport.com detailing his fraud/crime in both the sale of websites/ecommerce businesses and work at home scams. He's also done business under his wife's name Danielle Sours. I have found several police reports in recent newspapers (10/2008 and 4/2009) for arrests in Monmouth, IL and Warren County IL indicating that they are living in that area.

I have also found that Mr. Sours sells the same web sites, ecommerce businesses repeatidly. I found that after we closed on the GreatGrantGuide.com, I found he had listed the same business for sale on other business for sale sites, after we "closed" on this business. Sites he is using to sell this business include www.bizquest.com, www.1-ads.net/established--profitable-ecommerce-for-sale,2252961_class.htm , www.usfreeads.com/1692527-cls.html .

Below is a partial list of domains that Chris and Danielle have registered in their names with various addresses in IL. If you are approached about purchasing one of these, it is a fraud in progress and your money will be stolen if you follow through with the transaction.
