Complaint Review: chrisdan properties LLC daniel kaleal

daniel kaleal called me up at night because of an emergency at one of his rental properties. his entire crawlspace was filled with water. i told him i couldnt give an estimate because of how much damage there was and i couldnt possibly know its extent because everything was under sewage water. i told him i would bill this out accordingly and he instructed me to go ahead and do the work. i immediately brought my equipment and men over and started. the next day he came and gave me his credit card and said that i was authorized to make any and all purchases that i needed to and i said "im gunna have to make some additional purchases to do the work safely and to do a good jobbut i would take it off the labor bill" he said "ok, go ahead and i will pay you as soon as i get back from florida on friday." we performed a great amount of work starting with the clean out, then jacking up the house, the multiple other repairs needed to repair the damage (electrical, plumbing, ductwork, insulation, etc...) we had a 16" crawlspace to work in that was filled with sewage waste since the sanitary lines burst. it took me and 3 other men 7 days to do this emergency call. everyday we gave him an update of what needed to be done and what was performed. everyday he authorized all the work and purchases made. then on the 4th day when i was able to give him the amount he would owe he said "ok go ahead and fix it all and make sure its all cleaned up for my tenants and when i get back on friday we will settle up. the 5th day he called his insurance company and they cam out and seen us working. the 6th day he called my material distributor and told them he didnt authorize any of the charges. they called me and when i called him about it he denied it totally. so i called his credit card company and they confirmed that he was lying. i forwarded all the texts he sent giving me permission to them along with playing for them the voicemails he left me. thats the only reason i didnt get charged with a crime! so come friday he was to pay the bill and of course he didnt! then he tells me he didnt authorize me to do the work and he wasnt going to pay!!! if you are a contractor, stay away from this man, he will act like he wants everything done right but then he wont want to pay for it! he also tries to barter BOGUS gift certificates that are not valid for your hard work and rips guys off like that too! this isnt the first time he did this i found out from his employees at all occassion limo... HE ALWAYS DOES THIS!!! i was smart enough to know that he might pull this garbage so i covered my tail and printed off the texts, voluntarily took a polygraph for the police about this matter and now we are going to not only sue him but seek criminal charges also. you may 100% believe the report about his limo company too. this guy is reknown for scamming over people all the time. BEWARE ALL CONTRACTORS!!! if you do a job for daniel kaleal, GET ALL PAYMENTS IN ADVANCE!!!
