Hey..
Sorry to hear about bad experiences with Puppyfind. I personally have purchased 2 puppies from this site and had great experiences.
Both were private sellers. I was contacted via phone and email with photos, etc. I paid PAYPAL, no western union. I would not agree to anything but puppy escrow or PAYPAL with my credit card.
The puppies were both received on time as stated by sellers. One I prepaid shipping, the other was COD.
Both puppies arrived in sound health and I have them to this day. They are great dogs.
I am sure there are scammers on here..where aren't there scammers on the internet? You must protect yourself by talking in person to the seller, asking for pics of the parents, and requiring payment via paypal or puppy escrow (best way).
Also, look for breeders who have small breeding programs. Click on "see all of this sellers ads" to see how many puppies they have listed. There is a BIG clue to if they are a puppy mill or not.
Puppyfind can be a good way to find a puppy.

I have did a lot of home work about this web site and its offical they are in the business to scam customers and they never help their many scam victims. There is a great web site that shows hundreds of people that got ripped off by this terrible seller.

I have decided to write to leave my email address with ANYONE who has been scammed by these assholes.
I have a detective in Ohio working on it; he would like names of others who have been scammed. I was scammed by Eric Guzman in Chicago, Illinois on November 18, 2005.
I have contacted aol, pets4you, hoobly.com, etc; it took awhile, but I did finally get a response from Pets4you. I have got no response from AOL; however, I have a detective tracking records.
Chicago authorities have done NOTHING to help us; we are at wits end! They need to be stopped and I feel that all of us MUST take action.

Allison & Ron :
I'd be interested in contacting the detective you mentioned in Oklahoma and continue to communicate with others ripped off by these bastards. It's obvious this is a large scam ring working in different cities throughout the coutry. My breeder called himself Eric Guzman in Chicago IL (email address elf60609@aol.com). Also see reports under chicbulldogs.com or Chicago Bulldogs. I bet they use a similar website, testimonials, pics, etc. If we can obtain a list of all the people that were scammed maybe the FBI would get their noses in this. I want legal authorities to take this serious.., This is a BIG and costly problem..

Ron, I just fell victim to this scam also. I did the same things you did. Except I had to send my money transfer to Lawton, Ok. the next day Western Union called me a told me the name"Benjamin Morris" was part of a internet puppy scam. Now why would they let him pick the money up if they knew his name? There is a detective working on this case in Oklahoma, he says that these people have scammed atleast 10 others around the country.
I think we should all get together and get our moneys worth out these *(&^%!
I want to catch them so bad.
Please write me back and let me know who the investigation is going there.
