https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1463017087143270 That's the link to a car I purchased a couple weeks ago. If it's unavailable, than he deleted it to hide it, but fortunately I screencapped everything. I may have been foolish to go based on the pictures listed and understand that I should've driven, but a near 6 hour drive one way wasn't something I'd do. In the description of the listing it says it should need restoration from sitting 15 years, which would be acceptable if the fact the conversations we had didn't contradict what he had posted. The pictures in the listing make it falsely appear as if it's in quite decent condition and worthy of the price that's listed. I chose to overlook that there weren't interior shots or any shots from under the car. He made a clear statement that he took the car to the dmv 3 weeks prior to inspect the VIN and title, but based on the condition of the car, that's impossible.

There is such severe cancer rust inside and out with noticeable sections where he clearly just painted and poorly applied bondo all over. The smell of rust is apparent just standing outside the car. There are holes in the floor pans, trunk, and everywhere under the car. It was so brittle, I was able to poke a hole easily with 1 finger. The claim he made about taking to DMV is false given the axles and frame were incredibly rusted and seemed it could break if attempting to drive. From what I was told by the delivery driver was that the guy cussed him out for showing up late. This guy has been rude, lied and contradicted his stories. I show him proof it's not a 1964.5 with links, pictures, and articles. His attitude was getting worse towards me as I was giving undeniable proof and showing he was deviating from my question, that he condescendingly told me that I hoped I enjoy the car and blocked me. This entire transaction took place over Facebook Messenger and I screencapped and saved everything for further proof.

I'll ignore the insults and unfounded accusations on the reason for this purchase and politely respond. I used FB Marketplace as there is somewhat less of chance for scamming. I did a lookup of his number, address, and even his FB profile is public. It checked out.

Even a simple Google map streetview matched a picture he has on his FB. I wasn't particularly looking for a 1964.5, but any Mustang within the mid 60's. I would've forgiven him for maybe embellishing his listing to get it sold, but it was far from reasonable and he kept contradicting what he'd tell me.

You people will never learn. With your tongues hanging out so far over a dumb, stupid car, you'll throw COMMON SENSE out the window just because you just "need" to have THAT car! I've done some dumb things in my life, for sure but nothing I've done even remotely approaches the stupidity of sending off money to somebody you don't know to buy some used car you've never seen!

I'm new to this site and didn't notice there was a picture limit even though it showed they all loaded when adding them.
