Christopher Depriest Johnathan Glass Christopher Depriest / Johnathan Glass Craigslist Ticket Scam. Tells you he is out of town training for deployment and needs to sell tickets. Wants you to send MoneyGram through Walmart for payment. Don't fall for it!!! Tennessee
After doing my research, I have realized that my culprit is Christopher Depriest, but he told me his name was Johnathan Glass. I've found 2 other Ripoff Reports on him doing the same thing to other individuals. He starts by posting a Craigslist ad saying he has tickets to an event (in my circunstance, concert tickets). He gets your phone number to avoid the emails going back and forth so you don't see his real email. He wants the money sent to him first and then he transfers you tickets via Ticketmaster. Obviously, this sounds like a scam. Desperate, I asked him to send me a confirmation to make sure the tickets were real. He sent me a picture of a computer screen with the Ticketmaster Transfer pulled up with his name "Johnathan Glass" and his email "infantryusarmy3232@gmail.com" and he was going to transfer them to me. Once the money was sent, I kept calling and texting while he said he was on "duty" and then eventually stopped responding. Don't fall for this trick! It sounds like a legit story seeing as the places he puts his Craigslist postings are in military towns. He must be using different phones because other listings have him under other numbers. The number listed is the phone number he contacted me on. He says he is in Tennessee, which is where the money was transferred to, but the area code is in New York.
