I sent the Chrome Pros a pair of aluminum mag motorcycle wheels for plating. This Co. gives a two year guarantee. Received my wheels in a fair amount of time. Price was fair. Plating appearance was fair. Mounted the wheels, they did not look bad. This bike is cared for meticulously, always garaged.

Two years and one month later I cwas caught in a real heavy rain and was forced to ride about 300 miles in the rain. The bike was detailed before departure. All looked good. When cleaning the bike the next day, the chrome had peeled off of the majority of the wheels. Sent emails, no reply. Called the company and talked to the very rude so called manager for the day.

I was informed in a not very nice manner that the warranty is two years, not two years and one month. Two years is good for chrome plating to last, I was told. I asked to speak to the owner, once again no luck, he is not in. He would have given me the same reply I was told. I have now replaced the peeled wheels with what I hope is a quality job.

New bearings, and labor costs including plating about $500.00 per wheel. So, if you folks think your chrome should last for two years and then you should replace it. Send your stuff to the Chrome Pros. I would be really interested to hear of others being "ripped" by this co. I cannot be the only one.

Once again I was a month over their two year warranty. However, the very first time ridden in the rain. Total thickness of the plating, Maybe three layer, copper, nickel, chrome. One thousand of an inch. (.001") I am not familiar with others plating thickness, perhaps someone might ingform me on a quality jobs plating thickness. Be nice to hear others comments.
