I will try to keep it short & to the point. I was disabled about a year ago and fell alittle behind in my payments but always caught up until this last november I found I needed heart surgery I called chrysler financial and explaind my situation and hope they could offer me some kind of hardship program, I was told that there is nothing they could do for me, and asked when can they get there money I said I will do the best I can, and then it started with phone calls from them telling me I need to pay my monthly payment I was four or five days away from heart surgery and adding to my stress of was I going to live or die or the absulute tourture of thinking I may never see my kids or my wife again was chrysler financial wanting to know when they can get there money, my wife and I anwserd the phone a few times telling them we will send it when we can and would ask is there any thing they could do for us they would say no. the phone calls got so bad between our two phones about 10 to 18 phone calls a day and then they started doing things that I think a loan shark would probubly have more class. I get a phone call from my brother asking what is going on, his mother in-law called him and said chr. fin. called her and asked for me regarding a over due account, then a few weeks later they called my sister in-law needless to say I was extremly embarressed. now the day of my surgery I'm in the opperating room people are calling my wife to make sure everything is ok and of course chr. fin. calls her and says they need there money my wife tells them she cannot deal with this today her husband is having heart surgery right now there responce was well we need our money my wife hung up the phone they called right back so my mother in-law picked up the phone and got in a heated conversation with them.so my wife had to shut her phone off. so after all this I dont think I will never buy a dodge or chrysler again because of chrysler financial but if I did I will look elsewere for finance.

Now most cars aren't picked up until your 55-60 days past due. You can always ask for an extension which will give you an extra 30 days, but if your in that range, there isn't much they can offer unless your willing to set up other payments...THey have a job to do and cars to repo.

I'm sure you were upset and understand your circumstances, but collections is collections and chrysler is relentless when it comes to debts that are owed to them. How would you feel if the Nation owed you over 1.6 billion dollars? I'm sure you'd be calling friends family and ex wives too.

That is IF they will finance you. Also, if you fall behind again they will treat you the same way. What makes you think that any fininacial institution will tolerate tardiness in payments?

The world does not stop because of your problems. In the great world of finance, you are unimportant, that is until your payments stop coming.

I also went through heart surgery six months ago after a heart attack and my wife never missed a payment.

Pay your debts!
