Chuck Masterson is at it again but using a different name of the company.  He has had 4 different companyies in the last 10 years and goes in and promises a wonderful job but actually does that demo and that's it.  Collects as much money as possible and then you can't find him.  It cost me over 15K in additional work and repairs of the mess he left in my kitchen.  He has nothing in his own name and the business adress is a fake.  BEWARNED he is currently using the name Home PRos Remodeling and Renovations, LLC and has a new partner Al Deraney.  Please save yourself aggravation and find someone else to do the work no matter what price they give you.

Making False Accusations and Calling Them "Facts" Is Just Plain Wrong

#6REBUTTAL Owner of company

PERMITS - ABC Construction did pull the necessary permits for the Paramus kitchen project.  I saw them myself.  Why the customer would make such a claim cannot be explained.

FINES - ABC Construction was not fined so much as a dime for any type of infraction whatsoever.  These are pure fabrications - falsehoods, really - from a customer who was the one and only party that was in breach of this contract.

As explained previously, Chuck Masterson's picture is on my company's website because he is standing in my beautiful modern kitchen he helped build for me 3 years ago.  Because it came out so nice, I chose to use that picture of my expanded and highly praised kitchen on my company's website as a model or design idea of what can be done.  No fairminded person would twist that into something wrong.

Home Pros is Not ABC Construction - Look It Up!

I don't care what ABC was aledegedly fined.  Home Pros Remodeling and Renovations LLC had NOTHING to do with that kitchen project and did not even exist at the time that project was being done.  We have nothing to do with ABC Construction - period.

I am the majority owner and president of Home Pros.  I consider tying me and my company to this complaint not only mean-spirited and total fiction but also libelous.  Consequently I have sought legal council as to what my options are in handling this unfortunate situation.  I now demand a complete retraction from the woman who wrote the complaint and an apology for smearing my name and company in her complaint.

As long as Chuck is the one doing the s estimates and coming to your house, you're going to get the same shoddy work experience.  The other portion of the company is owned by chuck Mastersons wife so he is profiting.  I assure you.  Also the picture of chuck is posted on the company website.

Truth-

paramus building  dept failed the inspection and told me to get a new contractor there were too many major electrical and structural mistakes.  The proper permits were not filed and ABC Construction was fined 5k by the town.  The town could not find the company because the address on the contracts were fabricated.  Also the name on the license is also fictional.

Chuck keeps himself behind the scenes and judgement proof.

This Is Full Of Errors and Half-Truths, Very Sad

#6REBUTTAL Owner of company

Sat, November 01, 2014

There are numerous errors in this complaint ranging from typos to half-truths to gross ommisions.  Here are the facts:

  • 2 months ago I became the majority owner of Home Pros Remodeling and Renovations LLC
  • Chuck Masterson was involved with ABC Construction but has no ownership in Home Pros whatsoever and never did.
  • Home Pros was founded in June 2014.
  • Home Pros had nothing to do with the project in this complaint.  I resent our name being dragged into this.
  • Home Pros is already building a reputation for quality, honesty, value, customer focus and satisfaction.
  • ABC Construction redesigned and expanded my kitchen 3 years ago and did a fantastic job.
  • After that Chuck and I became friends and went out with our ladies from time to time.
  • ABC has done great work and cost-saving favors for me and other friends who were extremely satisfied.
  • It is a picture of my beautiful kitchen that is posted in this complaint which was used without my permission.
  • I have been a friend of the woman who filed this report for many, many years.  I care very much for her.
  • I am mentioned in the complaint because 5 months ago I took it upon myself to help resolve a dispute ABC was having.  I did this because I was friends and admirers of both Chuck and the customer who later filed this complaint.
  • I personally examined the jobsite 5 months ago and saw no evidence of contractor misconduct.
  • I tried and trired again to explain this to the customer but she did not want to hear it.
  • Because there may be legal implications I will only say this in public - I know first hand ther are numerous breaches of contract on the part of the complaintant and none by ABC.  In this contract, a breach causes a work stoppage.
  • I warned her of this and of the complications it would cause but she would not listen to me.
  • I told the customer, my dear friend, that in my opinion if she went to court she would lose, hands down.
  • I know first hand the contractor did extra work that was out of the project scope and did not charge for this work.
  • This was both design work and physical work, done gratis due to my personal relationship with the customer.
  • I also know first hand the contractor bent over backwards to satisfy the customer but she was most unreasonable.
  • I would gladly testify should I be requested to do so, but had said early on that I had no desire to takes sides.
  • Lastly, I resent greatly my name and the picture of my kitchen being used in this complaint without my permission.
