Complaint Review: CIC Credit Monitor

CIC Credit Monitor rip-off Internet

Weeks ago I applied for a "free" credit report, of which I have never received, and had forgotten about, since it was free, only to have $79.95 deducted from my checking account on 2/10/03.

Upon checking my account I noticed the amount deducted. I had no idea where the $79.95 had come from other than the name on my account who deducted it, CIC Credit Monitor, so I decided to research the situation only to find I wasn't the only person to be ripped off by this company.

I informed my bank this morning to see what can be done but of course am still waiting for a reply. Hoping this gets resolved.

Matthew in Tallahassee. There are so many companies that love having a way to SUCK money out of the consumers checking account.

If I were you and all others that feel that you all are a victim of Consumerinfo.com

Try this. Email them through the following email addresses and tell that you want your money back.

feedback@consumerinfo.com

Privacy@ConsumerInfo.Com

CustServ@ConsumerInfo.Com

Flood their 800 number with calls driving them NUTS telling them you WANT YOUR MONEY back.

Care Center toll-free at 1-888-888-8553.

If I were a victim of this company I also would send a copy of my Rip Off Report to the FTC

Their contact info is
Federal Trade Commission (FTC)
600 Pennsylvania Ave., NW
Washington, DC 20580
Toll free: 1-877-FTC-HELP (877-382-4357)
Web site: www.ftc.gov

Next, I would contact the companies that www.consumerinfo does business with. Inform them as to how www.consumerinfo.com is making the Rip Off Report at www.ripoffreport.com

Just maybe they all will think twice about doing business with consumerinfo.com once they check out just how many Rip Off Reports this a*s HOLE COMPANY really has.

To get even with a dirty company one must find a way to BIG POKE HOLES in the dirty businesses pockets.

Make sure they ALL know that this crappie company has made the Rip Off Report. Consumers must stick together and expose deception.

I have posted some contact info of TruSecure, A company that does business with www.consumerinfo.com.

Now Print a "printer friendly version" of this Rip Off Report and send it to the following people.

You are not alone. the same thing happened to me with them. I actually had paid for two well done reports then low and behold the next month my credit card was hit for the additional charge. I called twice and fax'd them a demand notice and finally after reaching someone other than an imbicile I got my card credited back. Its the old 'Hope they forget to uncheck the box' trick as you proceeded with your 'free' application. Real solid business practice eh....
