Complaint Review: CIC*CREDIT MONITOR SVC

After a nice vacation, I went to see how much I'd chraged to my poor, abused Mastercard. Imagaine my shock to pull up this!

03/30 CIC*CREDIT MONITOR SVC 877-513-4175 CA $79.95

I have excellent credit, and I've worked hard at it. The ONLY people I ever requested a credit history from was AmEx, since they actually did give it to me free (provided I cancled within 30 days, blah blah fishcakes). I have NEVER been gullible enough to try the online credit hose heads, and when I saw this charge I knew something was up.

I ran a google search and found this site, and the lightbulb went off. Without calling the number above, I called Citibank, informed the lady that I have good credit, I don't lend my card out and I will swear on anything that I NEVER approved this. She was a bit surprised, and I told her that a lot of people were getting dinged by these guys.

Citibank's sending me a form of disput to fill out, so they can take legal action. Meanwhile, I'm filing a report with the BBB.com about these creeps.

This really chaps my hide. Thank god for this site, so HONEST people can find the truth about this.
