CIC Credit Monitoring, Consumerinfo.com ripoff, robbed, Overdraw, ripoff business from hell Internet

I was looking for a credit card online some time ago. At some point I signed up for a free credit report-which I never even received.

Yesterday, I called my bank to make sure a recent deposit had gone through and found that I was overdrawn by $120. Several checks have been returned meaning I owe additional money to those companies for returned checks. The total of which I can only imagine right now.

For a single mother, struggling to get by already, enrolled in college full-time, this sort of thing is devastating. My insurance has now been cancelled for nonpayment, my phone has been turned off and today I learned that all of this was due to CIC credit monitoring charging $79.95 to my account that I never authorized.

My bank is telling me that I must wait 10 business days to see if they refund the charge (per my enraged phone call requesting such immediately) before I can even attempt to begin the difficult process of having the overdraft charges refunded.

All in all this has been a terribly painful and time-consuming experience. I imagine it will get even worse before it gets better.
