CIC Credit Monitoring - ConsumerInfo Ripping off a US Soldier in iraq? RIPOFF Orange California
While I was serving in Iraq, I signed up for a "free credit report" through freecreditreport.com(consumerinfo.com). Instead of getting instant access to my credit report, I was informed that I needed a private access code, which I never received. Apparently you have to call an 800# to receive it if you don't get it in the mail.
For obvious reasons I was unable to call that number, so I went ahead and found a different company to get my credit report from, and I DID receive my report from the new company.
Well here we are almost a year later, and now I am being charged almost $80 for a product that I NEVER received. What the hell, is this how a protector of "their" freedoms gets treated for risking my life for them?!
