CIC Credit Monitoring debit withdrawal without services rendered Orange California
I signed up some time in the last two months for a free credit report. I read the disorganized and difficult to digest report that had been described numerous times as FREE and, having found no useful information, I signed off and left it at that. Unknown to me, the company has a policy of automatically starting a paying account and charging your credit card for services, even if none are rendered. On 6.30.2003 my bank account was charged for $79.95 and my curiousity has only now revealed why the money was taken.
I unfortunately have no confirmation emails about the service, and I cant even remember who linked me to the site, but I do know that I never saw anything that would suggest that I would have to pay for the service, let alone that much money.
