CIC Credit Monitoring Service Charged me for a credit monitoring I didn't ask for after offering a FREE credit report I never got. consumer fraud ripoff in Orange California
I was on-line and saw an ad for a FREE credit report. "With no strings attached" or so I thought. I know that sometimes these places try to charge you later for something else, so I made sure that I emailed their address later to be specific enough that all I wanted was the FREE report. Nothing more, nothing less.
I never thought about it again. Then, all of a sudden, I get my credit card statement, and wouldn't you know, there was a charge from them for $79.95. At first, when I saw the charge, I couldn't even remember anything about it. After racking my brain, and looking it up on the internet, I remembered. It's a sad thing, with the state of the world, and all the troubles that our country has, that we have to look out for a--holes in our own country trying to screw us!
