CIC Credit Rip-off
On or about December 30, 2002 I ordered a 'free credit report' from this company via the internet.
On January 30, 2003 my credit card was charged 79.95 for an annual subscription to a 'credit monitoring service' that I was not made aware of when I ordered my 'free' credit report.
I immediately called the company and the gentleman I spoke to assured me that he would issue a credit and cancel the service.
