CIC, Qspace.comqspace.com, Consumerinfo.com, An Experian Company! ripoff, supposed to be a free 30 day trial before charging but charges asap, this was offered through DELL financial services! Orange California
In purchasing a new computer from Dell, and reviewing my account through their financial services, there was a FREE Credit Report button, that in clicking on it, CIC Consumer Info offered a free 30 day trial! So I agreed that I would not be charged the $9.95 til after the 30 days if I wished to keep the account.
After I signed up and logged in there was a $5 charge I had to agree to for a credit score, I agreed to that. Now my VISA was charged the $9.95 so I called CIC and was told that I had used them 7 years ago so this was not a free account.
I never received a warning or notation or anything that I had the current account with them and would be charged $9.95 nor did I receive an email or anything to that effect so I could have the choice of deciding to pay the $9.95 for a paid account or anything. I called them and was informed the $9.95 is non-refundable.
In researching, if you got to consumerinfo.com you will see it is "An Experian Company". A credit reporting agency that rips people off?
I had received the link to log in to my new account at a qspace.com so I was not aware that I had received a free credit report with this company and SEVEN years ago?
Now I have read all the horror stories of customers being charged $79/month from them unauthorized so I have no choice but to cancel my bank account that the atm VISA was used on since even canceling the card a charge would still be associated with the same bank account and let through!
NOTHING IS FREE! DO NOT EVER ORDER A FREE REPORT OR FREE ANYTHING AND GIVE OUT YOUR CREDIT CARD#!
