What I was told:
1. Was sold a phone service that is supposed to give me every third month of service free.
2. Also told that monthly service charges would be less than what I was currently paying with MCI.
3. Told that I would always have a specific customer rep that I could reach during regular business hours.
4. Told that my contract was lost and could I please have him fax it again and fax it right back.
What really happened:
1. I was not told that I had to remember to call every third month to get the fourth month free. If I don't call, the free month does not happen, so I have to remember to call every time.
2. Month service charges are more than double what I was paying with MCI!!!
3. Customer service is now supposed to be only on line and yet their web site does not work and I cannot reach a real person without calling several different numbers and begging to speak to a real person.
4. The "lost contract" that was sent and asked to have it sent right back was not my regular contract, but was a new contract to change my local service! So I signed something that I thought was a long distance contract which ended up switching my local service without me understanding that that was what was happening. When I tried to speak to the person who sold me the service, I was told that I could not speak to him again. I have left several messages to have him call me back. He has not called me back.
Lousy service.
Lying sales people.
Inconsistent "stories" from one customer care person to the next.
What a lousy company. I will be switching as soon as I am able!!!! They should be put out of business now.
