Complaint Review: CigArrest

I received an email from this company offering a 30 day free trial of their product "called Stop Smoking Kit". Only cost associated with this offer was to pay shipping and handling of $6.95. I filled out the application on line but did not include any banking information. I received another email stating their was a problem with my order so I decided to ignore it.

I received a follow up telephone call at my home stating she would need a form of payment to complete this order for the shipping and handling. No where in their advertise Terms and Conditions does it state you will be
billed $200.00.

When I checked my bank balance 1 day later I saw a charge
of $206.65 from CigArrest. I had not received this order and called them immediately requesting this order be canceled and my money put back into my account. I called their 800 number and also email their Customer Service Department asking them not to send me this order as I would not accept it. I wanted this transaction canceled and my money put back into my account.

I was told the order had already been shipped and I would have to wait to receive it, and then return it to them at my expense before I could receive a full refund. This debit has caused my checking account to become over-drawn and the bank charging me additional daily fees for this overdrawn amount. I want this order canceled and a full refund plus all additional fees
my bank is charging me for this overdrawn account.

This company is a complete rip-off and should not be allowed to defraud innocent people. What can we do as honest consumers do to protect ourselves from these internet theives.
