Complaint Review: Cigna Insurance Company

September 15, 2008 I went out on medical leave due to not being able to hold anything on my stomach and unable to control my bowels. I went to my primary care physician who rans some test and referred me to a specialist after going to the specialist he order a number of test I was given medication and was told to loose some weight.

My condition begin to get worse I return to my primary care doctor and she orders some nerve test the results came back with injury to my nerve I return back to work on Oct 20, 2008 after being there for a few weeks I got where I couldn't control my bowels at all went back to my primary care physician she referred me to another specialist.

I went to that specialist he referred me to go to therapy 3 times a week at this point I'm unable to sit for a long period of time I'm always in pain
I went to therapy and was unable to continue because cigna refuse to pay my short term disability so I couldn't pay the co pay. I decided to go back to another doctor he ordered test and decided that I had stenoids and said he would have to do surgery cigna still refuse to pay.

I had the gastric bypass thinking that would help lost some weight but still no control of bowels and and now bladder. Cigna still refuse to pay said that I am able to work in my condition I have medical records stating that I am not able to work but they still refuse to pay me
