Cingular - AT&T Wireless Won't honor contract! Phone broke Made me sign a new contract!! RIPOFF Springfield Missouri
I signed a two year contract with AT&T wireless in August of 2004. Cingular wireless had purchased ATT and stopped offering all of the old plans. When my phone broke they would not sell me a new one, but told me the only thing I could do was break the contract for $175 and damage my credit rating or "upgrade" to one of their rate plans. My phone also had a free email account which was cut off when cingular took over. Since I have great credit and don't want to damage that, I was FORCED to switch over and lose 30% of my minutes for the same price. I was also FORCED to sign a NEW TWO YEAR contract with cingular. This is a major ripoff! They won't honor their own contracts! DON'T TRUST CINGULAR!!!!
