Cingular ripoff lied cheat unfair ruined credit deceptive collection bureau Seattle Washington
I am a Microsoft employee. I was a customer of ATT (now Cingular) in a special Microsoft employee program to promote smart phones. We were signed up for unlimited data for a flat rate. Unfortunately, ATT kept switching me back to a metered rate and then billing me for a huge amount for the data usage. I left their service last fall and have never gotten the billing credits that were promised. I didn't hear anything more for a few months, but now a collection agency has put a $318.00 bill on my credit report. The company admits in writing that in the two years I was a customer (ended fall of 2004) that I had to contact them 42 different times to correct billing errors. But Cingular says they cannot provide me with copies of statements showing the credits promised, and they refuse to follow through on promises from ATT employees. I have spoken most recently with Mike Albert and Robert Mercado.
