Cingular Wireless And they call this service? ripoff Dallas Texas
I got two phones last September from Cingular Wireless along with a two year plan. What a mistake! To start with, it is a blessed holiday when mine and my husband's phones actually work. We tried 3 times to get our phones fixed because they were so horrible. Each time they were fixed, they ended up being worse then they were before.
So, I waited thinking maybe it would take more time for the phones to get better. Then I called the "Customer Service Center." After dealing with the "customer service representative" and listening to her tell me there is nothing she can do in a very, very rude tone, I requested to speak to her supervisor.
I think the first "customer service representative" was nicer then the supervisor. This boy had the nerve to tell me that the only reason I wanted a new phone was because I didn't like my phone. No crap! I don't like things that don't work. He also stated that they have received no other complaints on this type of phone. What a lie! We know people who have the same phones, the same problems and have taken the same action, and still have the same issues.
In case the phone issue is not enough of a problem, I constantly get charged for text messages that are never made. When I call and complain, they argue with me for a little bit, put me on hold for ten minutes, then come back and sometimes take the charges off. Now, tell me why they do this month after month. I should be getting paid for all of the time I have to spend on the phone dealing with this stupid company.
Cingular always accuses me of going over my minutes, so when I found out you could be texted your minutes used for free, I started doing that. Last month I did it, and according to that, I had 164 minutes left on my plan. Since we went on vacation and didn't use our phones, this sounded appropriate.
When I get the bill, it says I owe for 22 texted messages (that we never made), and that we went way over our minutes. When I called to question this issue, they said the texted minutes are only approximated. They must be extremely approximated because we didn't use the phone for almost a week before I received the summary of minutes used.
Out of any place that I have ever worked at including where I currently work, if I so much as looked the wrong way at a customer, I would get fired. How can this company promote such dishonesty and rudeness and still be thriving like they are? This is absolutely ridiculous and I am sick of Cingular.
To anyone who is considering Cingular as their cell phone company, unless you enjoy wasting your time and money dealing with rude people and hope you never have an emergency where you need to use your phone, think again.
